Frequently Asked Questions

This section addresses most of the commonly asked questions about working with me. If you are still not seeing the answer to your question or you would like to clarify something, please contact me here.

About my work

Not at all. Although, logo design is a significant part of what I do, it is far from being the only thing that I design for my clients.
Typically, logo design is the point of origin for many brands that come to me for help, and once their logo design is finalized, they continue to work with me to help them develop the rest of their brand identity. Other brands choose to hire me for complete brand identity development right from the outset of our relationship.

In addition to providing logo design and brand identity solutions for my clients, I also create brand character illustrations as well as design and print business cards and brand stationery, design printed and embroidered apparel, signage, stickers, and other brand collateral.

I also design custom products, product labels and packaging that align with your brand identity and fall in line with your brand goals.

Pricing and terms

Reach out via my Contact Form, and once we determine the appropriate solutions for your brand, I will be able to provide you with the project costs.

All my services require a 50% non-refundable deposit that is due after a contract is signed and before any work on the project commences. This deposit ensures that I block out my schedule for your project and covers the work involved in initiating my services for your project. This deposit also acts as a show of good faith on your part, demonstrating that you are also willing to have a stake in the outcome of your project – this ensures that we both stay fully committed to seeing the project through to its successful completion.

The remaining 50% of your balance is due at project completion just prior to the delivery of the Final Digital Files and to the delivery of the Transfer of Copyright document. More details are provided in the project’s contract.

Yes, I do – a contract ensures that we are both committed to the successful outcome of the project, and it also helps to set up appropriate expectations and clarify responsibilities, both of which help eliminate any potential misunderstandings.

Once we determine the scope of your project, I will provide the contract detailing the terms and conditions, timeframe, costs, and deliverables for the project.

Below are a few ways that I work with my clients:

Consulting

When you are unsure of what solutions you need for your brand or are in need of further guidance before fully engaging in a full-scope project, you can request my consulting services on an hourly basis to discuss your project in greater detail and to determine your needs. The hourly consulting rate will be determined in our first engagement.

Project-based Engagement

This is the best solution for projects with a clearly defined project scope. These projects have a definitive timeline, budget, and deliverables.

Phase-based Engagement

When there isn’t a clearly defined scope of work, we can break down the project into more definable milestones to meet the goals and budget of your project.

Retained Partnership

I enjoy partnering with clients looking for an ongoing relationship as their brand grows and expands.

You do. Once the FULL amount of the agreed upon payment is received AND cleared, the client will receive a signed and dated “Transfer of Copyright Ownership” document detailing the full scope of the copyright transfer.

Unless otherwise agreed AND arranged in writing, I reserve the right to showcase any ideas, sketches, designs, artwork, and illustration as well as the completed final designs and their variations, and any and all associated designs in my digital and physical portfolios, and in any number of online galleries and portfolios, video courses, as well as in printed literature including, but not limited to: books, catalogues, brochures, and magazines. I reserve the right to showcase the aforementioned during the course of the project and also upon completion of the project.

Yes, I always keep my clients’ information in strict confidentiality. In the course of our relationships, I may receive or have access to information which relates to your past, present, or future products, vendor lists, creative works, marketing strategies, pending projects/proposals, and other proprietary information. Therefore, I take the utmost care to protect the confidentiality of your proprietary information and all physical forms, whether disclosed to me before our Contract is signed or afterward. Unless an NDA is requested by you in advance of the establishment of our Contract, I do reserve the right to display materials and final work created for you in my portfolio on this website, other platforms, and digital or physical publications.

Yes, I am open to signing NDAs, and I have done so with some of my past clients. I have my own NDA or we can utilize yours if you prefer.

Please note: requiring an NDA that prohibits me from displaying the work that I produce for you will increase the price of said work. My field of work leans heavily on visuals and being able to showcase my work is how I attract new clients.

Working with me

Once I receive your information, I will forward you a link to complete my Brand Discovery Questionnaire.

This Brand Discovery Questionnaire is an essential tool that I utilize to help me fully comprehend your brand, and capture all the details needed for my design process.

Great question. If you are in need for a fast, quick design solution, I can help you with that. Keep in mind that this is going to cost more and your control over the project will be greatly diminished.

On the other hand, if you value good design over everything and are willing to give me the time to craft the best design for your brand, then typically a custom logo mark takes around 2-3 weeks to complete. This includes the ideation, sketching, design and presentation part of the design.

For a full-fledged brand design, it takes around 4-6 weeks to complete the whole project.

Yes, we certainly can schedule a brief initial call. Reach out via my Contact Form and we will arrange a convenient time to discuss your project.

No, I do not. I value both your time and mine. Through the many years of working with my clients, I have developed my meticulous Creative Process that equips us with all the information needed to land on the most effective visual solution for your brand. In fact, experience has shown that due to this process, there is absolutely no need to go beyond one or two rounds of minor revisions, if that. Thus, I offer two (2) revisions included with my flat rate projects.

If, for some very unique reason, you decide that more revisions are necessary after the two revisions provided, additional revisions can be easily added on to the project on an hourly basis.
